Wearable art

I have been going through a metamorphous and have circled around to my love of fashion; I have opened up a shop through a Montreal company, art of where, that allows you to upload your designs on apparel and accessory templates. Wrapping my head around the process and thinking about what I wanted to design has really been an interesting journey. Now all I see is patterns when I close my eyes at night. Check out my store – Saturnal art and design – and tell me what you think.

Here are the available products:

  • Leggings
  • Yoga leggings
  • Tank tops
  • Skirts
  • Short dresses
  • Bags – Tote/Makeup bags
  • Scarves
  • Headbands
  • Pillowcases

My favourite designs are in the Grunge Maven and my Soul Gear (featured above) collections. I am also loving some of my obnoxious patterns, like the Lime and Black Pepper and the Outrageous Seventies – I am hoping some people will be inspired to be bold.

Here is my ‘Slate’ yoga leggings made by taking a picture of a rusty concrete slab and applying a few filters in Photoshop:

The Grunge Maven collection is used by digital painting, applying filters to photographs and sometimes a combination of both. I like this collection because I get to use a variety of skills and creativity.

I plan to sell some of the accessories in my collections to local shops as well starting with Lagasse Studio of Fine Art.

There are some brighter prints but I have focused on darker colours for the fall and winter.  More designs will be coming.
